Chris Dekker, President

Chris Dekker has served as the President of WMO since its inception in 2015. He takes the leading role in overseeing club operations and events, and maintains the website and club email schedule. Professionally, Chris serves as Owner & President of Dekker Web Solutions, and is an alumni of Hope College, Central Michigan University, and soon, the University of Notre Dame. Chris owned a 33' Scarab until late 2015, and hopes to be back in the game soon.

Jeff Tibbe, Vice President & Membership

Jeff Tibbe serves as the Vice President and Membership Chair of WMO since its inception in 2015. Besides memberships, Jeff organizes the annual WMO charity golf outing, assists with planning, and does a significant portion of WMO's video editing. Jeff and with his wife Meg enjoy raising their two daughters and serving the community through their church. Professionally, Jeff is an Engineering Manager at a large local manufacturing company and also holds a mechanical engineering and mathematics degree from Grand Valley State University. Jeff owns a 32' ActiveThunder with Arneson surface drives and fully custom MPFI engines rigged and built by Jeff and his father, Ron.

Kevin Alferink, Chief Financial Officer 

Kevin Alferink has served as the CFO of WMO since the fall of 2015. In that capacity, he oversees the club's income and expenditures. Kevin also assists in event planning and club administration. Professionally, Kevin is a Technical Representative at Broadmoor Products Inc, specializing in sales and service of industrial water treatment chemicals, Brewery cleaning and sanitation and specialty chemicals. Kevin has had three boats with his last being 2001 29’ PowerQuest Enticer and enjoys being on the water. He is taking a couple years off of boating to concentrate on his career and family with two young kids in travel sports.

Derek Powers, Marketing Manager

Derek has led the position of marketing manager since the formation of WMO in 2015. He handles the social media page, public relations, and oversees the apparel line for the club. Professionally, Derek works for one of the largest petroleum recycling companies in the midwest, Future Environmental. Derek currently captains the 37 Active Thunder 'Fast Forward' that you see around Grand Haven on any given weekend.

Roger Zuidema, Business Manager 

Roger Zuidema, WMO Business Manager, and has taken a leading role in visioning some of WMO's biggest events, including the boat show and MPW.  Club roles consists of minutes taking, run management, and assisting in promotions.  Boating pursuits include President of Lake Effect Boating/Media and VP of Marketing with Cat Can Do Racing. Roger, a Calvin College alumni, has majors in business, recreation and P.E.  Zuidema’s background includes 30 years of education, coaching, and sports management experiences, and currently teaches and coaches at Hudsonville Public Schools.
